Carlos Cruz is the bassist for Pablo Antonio y La Firma, the DMV’s most recognized tropical Latin band. A musician since the age of 12, Carlos began his career in El Salvador before continuing his musical journey in the United States.
Musical Background
Carlos has performed with a variety of groups throughout his career, including Banda Kaliente, Orquesta La Kimika and Sonora Dinámita USA, among many others. This extensive experience in tropical Latin music has prepared him to bring a solid, reliable foundation to every performance.

Carlos joined Pablo Antonio y La Firma in 2026, bringing his experience and steady foundation as a bassist after years performing with groups including Banda Kaliente, Orquesta La Kimika and Sonora Dinámita USA. With that background, he quickly became a key part of the rhythmic foundation that keeps the band sounding full at every performance. What he enjoys most about playing with the band is the energy of the stage and the connection created with the audience at every event — the same passion for music that’s been with him since the age of 12.
