José Fuentes — Congas (Percussionist)
José Fuentes is the conga player of Pablo Antonio y La Firma, the tropical Latin band from Washington DC performing since 1999. Originally from Honduras and based in Fort Washington, Maryland, José comes from a musical family and began his artistic journey at a young age. As a teenager he was part of Los Hitsong, a popular Honduran group, touring with them professionally — a journey that eventually brought him to the United States where he settled with his family.
Musical Background
With deep musical roots and training acquired in Honduras, José Fuentes developed his mastery of the congas and other percussion instruments from an early age. His time with Los Hitsong gave him stage experience that few young musicians ever achieve — performing before large audiences on professional tours before reaching adulthood. That solid foundation is what distinguishes him as a percussionist within Pablo Antonio y La Firma.

What he enjoys most about performing with the band is the professionalism and camaraderie — a musical family forged over the years through every rehearsal and every performance.
