Victor Guerra — Güira and Bongos
Victor Guerra is the percussionist of Pablo Antonio y La Firma, the tropical Latin band from Washington DC performing since 1999. Originally from the Dominican Republic and based in Herndon, Virginia, Victor received his musical training at Bell Multicultural High School and has been part of the band since 2012. His mastery of the güira and bongos has made him one of the most sought-after percussionists in the DMV area.
Musical Background
With Dominican roots where merengue is part of the culture from birth, Victor Guerra brings an authenticity and rhythmic depth that few can match. He has performed with musical projects including JCJ Band and other ensembles in the area. His love for rehearsal and his constant dedication are the secret behind his mastery on stage — at every performance he gives everything, without reservation.
With Pablo Antonio y La Firma
Victor joined Pablo Antonio y La Firma in 2012 and has since been the rhythmic heart of the ensemble. What he enjoys most about playing with the band is the unity and the good music — that connection between musicians that only comes from years of working together and a genuine love for the art.
